This policy explains how the Horizon Windscreens Ltd website uses cookies and similar technologies.

Cookies and similar technologies can store information on, or access information from, a visitor's device.

Similar technologies can include browser storage, tracking pixels, tags and certain scripts.

The current Horizon website has been designed to minimise unnecessary tracking.

A technical review of the current Horizon website application found no Horizon-implemented:

• analytics cookies;
• advertising cookies;
• Google Analytics;
• Google Tag Manager;
• Google Ads tracking;
• Meta/Facebook Pixel;
• Microsoft/Bing tracking;
• heatmaps;
• advertising or conversion tracking scripts;
• localStorage tracking;
• sessionStorage tracking; or
• marketing/tracking consent-management platform.

The website's structured-data scripts are used to help search engines understand page content and are not tracking scripts.

The site's Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Maps and OpenStreetMap links are ordinary links to external websites rather than embedded tracking tools in the current implementation.

Our hosting provider or underlying website infrastructure may use technical processes necessary to deliver, secure or operate the website.

Some storage or access technologies can be used without consent where they are genuinely necessary to provide the online service requested by the visitor.

Where such technology is identified, Horizon will provide appropriate information about its purpose.

Horizon does not currently implement analytics or advertising tracking technologies through the website application.

In particular, the technical review found no active Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel or Microsoft/Bing tracking integration in the Horizon application.

If Horizon introduces analytics, advertising or another non-essential storage/access technology in future, we will review the applicable requirements before enabling it.

Where consent is legally required, the technology will not be activated before the appropriate user choice has been obtained.

The Horizon website may contain links to third-party websites or services.

Following one of these links takes you away from Horizon's website.

The destination website may operate its own cookies or tracking technologies under its own policies.

Horizon does not control cookies independently set by another website after you choose to visit it.

The website's Contact and Get a Quote forms do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies as part of their submission process.

The forms submit information to Horizon's enquiry system.

The application processes the information required for transmission and sends the enquiry by email; the audited website route does not create a durable website database copy of the enquiry.

Quote photographs are transmitted as email attachments rather than stored separately by the website application.

Most browsers allow users to view, block or delete cookies and other locally stored website information.

Browser controls vary between browsers and devices.

Blocking technology that is genuinely necessary for a website to operate may affect some functionality.

Horizon will review this policy if the website's technology changes.

Before introducing technologies such as:

• website analytics;
• advertising/conversion tracking;
• remarketing;
• social-media tracking pixels;
• embedded third-party content that uses tracking;
• behavioural tracking; or
• other non-essential storage/access technologies,

we will assess the privacy and consent requirements and update this policy where necessary.

The current technical review found no Horizon-implemented non-essential cookie or tracking technology requiring consent.

Horizon therefore does not currently operate a cookie-consent banner solely for the sake of displaying one.

If the website later introduces technology requiring consent, an appropriate consent mechanism will be implemented before that technology operates.
